Thunderfist Productions was conceived in 2007 by Brent Smith, Cory Haller, and Kalvin Lock. Its purpose was quite simple; Thunderfist would serve as a banner to work under in all of the groups creative endeavors, be it, cartoon animation and story telling, random art, or comic book projects. Working together, they found, would be far more productive than working alone. Each of the founding members often collaborated with each other anyway, so this was the next logical step.
The group began with a cartoon project first. At the time, it was conceived as a comic book entitled “A Sullen Distraction” though it soon became apparent that the jokes and style of humor there in, were far more conducive to an animated short than in a comic book. Therefore, the group quickly went to work on re-making the concept as a cartoon, now known as “Brainsick Jones: And the Bastards of His Coma-verse”. This brought about a working relationship (and part-time love-fest) with the groups newest member, Mason Wilson, as he aided in sound recording and provided a musical flavor to the project.
Now with a roster of four and a fist count of eight, Thunderfist Productions has been working in full effect to try and bring you some of the most entertaining storytelling you’ve ever been exposed to. It’s our company mantra and mission: to knock you flat on your ass with fistfuls of entertainment.
