Cory
Cory is a writer. He lives in Edmonton Alberta, Canada.
This living arrangement is the worst for him as he hates cold weather. He also hates cheese and most forms of pie.
As a youngster, Cory was an avid fan of films and comics. He would often (as most children do) sit and imagine himself as one day being an incredibly famous movie-star or a wizard magazine voted top superstar artist. All through school Cory began to try and master the craft of art of drawing. He failed horribly.
So all through high school he began to try his hand at acting and while he was somewhat talented at the craft he was encouraged by his Drama teacher (and language arts teacher) to pursue his writing. Most often he was asked to write various things to perform on stage or to hone his narrative skills. This encouragement proved invaluable as Cory soon realized that the world of acting was no longer what he desired.
Moving on from high school brought about many changes in his life but one constant was that he was always drawn back to writing for some reason or purpose. Be it, observations on daily life, jokes and gags, or ideas and concepts for larger stories. Eventually it became apparent to Cory that he felt very passionately about the art of story telling and decided that he would pursue it as something more than a pastime. Realizing it could be a career choice that would be well suited to him, Cory has been working away at different projects, trying to hone his skills and create work that will stand the test of time, and most importantly, entertain.
Along with Thunderfist Productions, Cory has completed his first Government funded animation project, “A Sullen Distraction,” thanks to a grant provided by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
He is also the co-creator and a writer for the (hopeful) animated television series “Brainsick Jones: And the Bastards of His Coma-verse”
Cory is presently working on various comic book projects :
The Last Outlaw
The Architect
The Thunderfist Anthology
Cory is also involved in script writing and acting in a local independant series, titled: Man-Cop.
